The Third Time This Week

For the second day in a row and third time this week, The Tooth Fairy came. And yes, it was so loose she swallowed it again.

Clara and Emma tried on their Daisy uniforms in advance of their first troop meeting.

The Tooth Fairy's Second Appearance... This Week

Clara got off the bus saying her tooth was loose. She wiggled it but for sure, it wasn't coming out before Emma's hanging in a string tooth. Clara wiggled it and said she wanted to pull it out. So she did and it popped out. And the Tooth Fairy is back!!

Thanksgiving In Kindergarten

The kindergarten had a special Thanksgiving snack together today.

And the kids debuted their new shirts from Texas!

Disney on Ice

A special night for the kids.

A little perk was attending a VIP reception that included meeting some of the skaters, chatting with Merida and a gift bag that included a wand.

Tap Shoes

Some time ago in the spring at a consignment sale, Mommy got some tap shoes. Clara found them this week and won't take them off.

It's very loud but she and Emma love tapping and making up routines.

Fancy Nancy Musical

Clara and Emma went to NYC to see The Fancy Nancy Musical with their friend Ashley. The story was based on the recent book, A Mermaid Ballet and the lesson is a good take away. It's good to see Nancy not get what she wants and how she handles it.

They LOVED it and meeting the characters afterwards.

The kids enjoyed the playground in 78th and Amsterdam. And then, a very yummy lunch at Sugar and Plumm. Delish!!

Snow!

Somehow a winter storm came and dumped several inches of snow and knocked power out- again. It's back now and the kids are off to school !

Hotel Fun

Eating ice cream at the hotel picnic is fun!

Clara has a whole list of reasons she likes hotels.

Clara and Emma were amazing volunteers at a senior center as part of this great community day.

It was a marathon day with Hebrew school, soccer ( Emma scored 2 goals), pizza lunch, volunteering and finally their cousin's birthday!

Playing In Leaves Before Sandy

Another Hurricane on its way, so part of today's prep was letting the kids play in the leaves!

Avon Walk

Mommy walked almost 40 miles to help fight cancer, raise funds and awareness last weekend.

Daddy, Clara, Emma and friends came at mile 24 to say hi.

If You're A Brownie, I'm A Cookie

Growing up, Grandma Kathy told a story to Mommy about when she was a Brownie and how her sister wanted to be one too and said "if you're a brownie, then I'm a cookie."

Well, the kids are going to be Daisies and Mommy is going to be the troop leader. Oy!!

Filling Buckets

Over the past two days, both Clara and Emma have done very nice things for others.

It's nice seeing or hearing about them in such a good way. While these things probably happen often hopefully, it's rare to catch them doing it or hear about it from another parent.

Yesterday, after Clara's class visited the Bookfair, one of her classmates was crying because she didn't want to leave her Mommy. Clara went over and held her hand. The girl asked Clara to sit with her and read her book and sit with her at lunch and Clara said yes. The little girl smiled and off they went.

Today, Emma went to wait for her teacher after the Donuts and Dads program and saw her friend crying because her dad was leaving. Emma gave her a hug a little toy that was attached to her backpack and the girl stopped crying.

They both talked about filling their friends buckets like the story they read at school, and now at home.

The kids both went to school with Daddy for the Book-fair's Donuts and Dads event, where they got a munchkin and visited the book fair.

After, Emma's class came and visited.

Mommy went to help Clara pick out some books this morning at her school.

Off to the 2 Day Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Woo hoo!

Ask the kids and they say "Mom is doing a 2 day walk." They made posters today as only they would! Clara even did some during her IVIG treatment.

Emma tried to spell "Mommy" by herself- it says "mame."

For anyone that remembers Alyssa at 5, this will bring back memories. Because Clara walked a dog that barked etc just like her Aunt did...

Today was Emma's turn. She is quite proud of her creation!

Mommy went to Clara's class today for Pumpkin Pals, where the pal comes to help the kindergartner decorate their pumpkin. As anyone that knows Clara might guess, she worked on her pumpkin until the very end.
