Emma's Shoe Bag

On the way to a party, Emma packed a bag with additional 2 pair of shoes.

Mommy giggled and asked what the shoes were for.

Here is what she had to say:
"well, the sneakers are for running around, the dress up shoes are for when we sit and eat."

And she carried the bag in proudly and changed shoes by herself at appropriate times.

The kids loved the party at a new play space and especially liked the tennis and soccer.

Pajama Day At Camp!

The rain made it a perfect day for pj day!

Emma's Braids

Emma did her hair, all by herself! Not bad!!

Today was carnival day and Clara came home with a rainbow on her face.

This afternoon, they went to their library program despite the rain!

Buckaroo BBQ

The ladies got dressed in their best "western wear" for their camp BBQ!

After camp, they enjoyed going to the library for the summer reading club!

Camp Picture Day

All dressed in bright yellow with big smiles!!

Pool Time

After camp, it was off to the pool for crafts, where the kids made piggy banks!

Crazy Silly Buggy Hat Day

Mommy and Daddy got creative and made hats for Clara and Emma. In the morning, the kids put ladybug and bee stickers on their hats. They both were thrilled with their hats!

Fireworks

After a long day that included camp and a trip to Long Island to celebrate Andrew's 9th birthday, the kids stayed up late and got to watch fireworks from the deck!

Not too loud and a view a bit restricted, but still a good first experience with fireworks.

All day, they kept talking about July 4th and fireworks. By the time the gang got home tonite, it was already 830- pretty close to firework time!

They will probably be incredibly cranky, but totally worth it to see their faces and hear their comments. Clara said "I've been dreaming of this!" and Emma made sure to profusely thank Mommy and Daddy. She added "it's pink! And rainbow! Wow!"

Popsicle Sharing

Another hot day for the kids as they went back to camp.

It seems the new swimmer learned how to "glide" in the water at camp and couldn't wait to show off at the pool. It's funny to watch Emma, who refused to put her head in a week ago, swim underwater all the time. She isn't quite ready to try in the big pool, but she'll get there!!

They split a Popsicle before heading home for dinner.
