Ahoy Matey

Clara and Emma went to their friend Ethan's 4th birthday party. It was a pirate theme and easily the most creative and fun birthday party!

Pool Fun

The kids have been making the most of days spent at the pool. Clara and Emma only want to go in the big pool - and are doing really well at swimming lessons. Today, Clara was able to get her arms going and started to learn freestyle and practiced kicking. Emma kicked and learned jump in.

Each day at the pool, Clara wears her goggles the whole time- even in the sandbox, and if she is in the water, will swim up to anyone to show them how she can go underwater and says "want to see something awesome?"

They also have become comfortable with the pool and like seeing some of the other kids they know and get upset if their "new friends," aren't there.

And, like any kid, they love eating lunch and getting snacks at the pool.

More Swimming!

Emma decided that she wanted to put her head in the water today. She held on to the railing and kept sticking her head in, popping up and giggling. It is pretty cool!

Irvington Fire Department

Clara and Emma enjoyed a pancake breakfast with Daddy and a quick trip to Home Depot before heading to Justin's 4th birthday. The party was at the Irvington Fire Station and the kids (and Mommy) got to climb in fire trucks, ambulances and even take a ride in the truck. After, there was playground fun and pizza and cake.

Tonight, Mommy said something about "how it is nice to do good things..." Emma responded, "like a mitzvah" (which means a good deed). Thank you, Jewish pre school.

Clara and Emma's 4th Birthday Celebration

A little early this year and on one of the hottest days yet, Clara nd Emma celebrated their 4th birthday at California Pizza Kitchen. With classmates and neighbors there to celebrate, the kids got to color paper chef hats, put toppings on pizza, take a tour of the kitchen, eat pizza and then make some ice cream sundaes- and eat some cupcakes. A little chaotic as any party is, the kids did seem to have lots of fun.

To top off a long day, the gang had an early dinner at the Candlelight Inn- a small restaurant known for their wings.
