Tuck-In

Today, Mommy took Clara and Emma to a Family Citisongs Drop in at Citibabes. Mommy's friend Sue was there with her husband, Scott, and their kids, Ashley and baby Ethan. Emma enjoyed dancing around with the shakers and Clara loved playing the drums!

Mommy pulled out some blankets today and "tucked" the ladies in.
After their nap, the ladies played "naptime" for an hour, putting Mommy and Daddy's pillows on the floor, gathering their stuffed animals, and tucking each other in. The gang bundled up and went for a walk in the neighborhood where Clara and Emma enjoyed playing with leftover snow and ice and of course, rocks.

Emma seemed pretty cranky most of the day- and right before bed, finally pooped, which Mommy and Daddy believe was part of it.

Mommy in The Rivertowns Enterprise...Finally!

Mommy was featured in today's The Rivertown Enterprise about The Rivertown Play Group. The photo is from a quick photo shoot on Tuesday afternoon with Mommy's biz partner, Jenn and her daughter, Anabelle.

CPK Fun

Mommy was quoted in the weekly e-newsletter of Macaroni Kid Rivertowns Westchester, and there was an article in today's Rivertown Enterprise.

Lunch was at CPK and lots of fun with Mommy's friend Emily and her twins, Justin and Chloe. Clara and Emma enjoyed ordering their own lunch and made quite a scene on the way out- 2 sets of multiples!

The girls went for a nap at 1 and slept until 3. Mommy thinks this may be their new nap time and would be fine with it- as long as they nap.

Later, the gang went to tot shabbat the JCC.

Snowy Thursday

The forecasters didn't get this right. What was "a few flurries," produced quite a bit of snow in Ardsley. School wasn't cancelled and the roads looked okay, so Mommy bundled the ladies up and put them in their boots. Clara said "just like Mommy."

Lots of kids were absent today, so it was only Clara and Emma and their classmate, Eitan. Of course, they still had lots of fun and didn't want to leave. Their teacher told Mommy that they did some chalk pictures and Emma drew a face with eyes, hair, nose etc and was saying the body parts aloud when she did it. Pretty cool.

Trike-A-Thon

Yet another day with Clara and the tutu. It is officially her signature outfit. She even brouth the tutu out and her guitar to show Roberta, her speech therapist. Today was the Trike-A-Thon for Clara and Emma's nursery school. Even though it wasn't there day, Mommy took them just for this part to meet up with the 3 day 2's class. Clara loved going around on her scooter and Emma tried riding some bikes. They also loved coloring with friends.

And, afterwards, for a special treat, the Gornstein gals headed to the Dobbs Diner with Sue and her two kids, Ashley and baby Ethan and Ashley's grandpa. Emma sat down next to Ashley and looked at her princess figure and said "oooh beautiful." Clara enjoyed reading the menu and when the waiter came over to request drink orders, Clara stated "chocolate milk." This girl knows what she wants. Clara and Emma eat very well out. They also both enjoyed some of Ashley's noodles.

After their nap, Emma woke up and the first thing out of her mouth was "Ashley doesn't like her meatballs. I ate her noodles. Yum, yum, yummy in my tummy." Clara went straight to the "treasure box" (aka the dress up box) for some fun things to wear.

The gals headed over to the Nicassio house for Alice's first birthday. Clara and Emma loved playing with all the trains, cars and of course, instruments. It was a fun play date and of course, there was cake, which in the end, was Clara and Emma's dinner. Oh well. It is rough being 2. One cute moment was when a little girl was crying. Emma said to her "don't cry, your Mommy is right here." Another was when the candles were lit, Emma burst out and led the kids in singing "Happy Birthday" and both were a little excited that they could help blow the candles out.

Tonight, Mommy was holding Emma and she expelled gas. She looked at Mommy and said "oh, that was a poop. No it wasn't, it was a fart."

The Budding Artists

This is how Clara and Emma spent their Tuesday morning, according to the note from their teacher.

"Hi Arin. Just thought you'd get a laugh from this progressively messier sequence of events!

It all started when Clara decided that her paintbrush wasn't quite effective enough!
After realizing a hand was more fun than a brush, Clara added her other one. Emma joined her.

After creating lovely fingerpaintings

the girls abandoned the paper and went straight to body painting (especially Clara)! "

When Mommy got to school, they were both wearing new shirts from the "change of clothes" that Mommy left at the start of the year.

Because Emma woke up three times in the middle of the night and at 630 am (not at all normal) and woke Clara up too, Mommy put them down for a nap at 12 and they took a long nap.

Clara refused to take the tutu off and Mommy cleaned their blue shirts and got them dressed just in time for Jennifer and Anabelle to come by for the photographer from The Rivertowns Enterprise to take a photo. Stay tuned to Friday for more on this!

After, the Gornstein girls had fun with Anabelle! They cooked food and took "naps" together, tucking each other in. Very cute.

Mommy managed to get their clothes off, but both wanted to be "naked." Clara even did some dancing...

Rain, Rain, Go Away

Clara and Emma wanted to take a bath- no problem, because it is a wild weather morning- temps are in the 50's and it is pouring, which = flooding here, so Mommy has decided to stay in.

Emma pooped again in the tub- which meant swooping the kids out, all soapy and attempting to get the shampoo out of their hair. Not a pretty scene.

The ladies enjoyed baking chocolate chip cookie brownie bars- which works nicely for two as they could each handle a mix.

Emma also started moving the little chairs over and standing on them to get what she wants. Clara was trying to turn off the light in the kitchen, and Emma said "I help you" and brought over the chair. They also decide the want bananas and go get them now. Trouble.

Mommy was relieved to get out of the house in the afternoon for ballet!
