Yet another day with Clara and the tutu. It is officially her signature outfit. She even brouth the tutu out and her guitar to show Roberta, her speech therapist. Today was the Trike-A-Thon for Clara and Emma's nursery school. Even though it wasn't there day, Mommy took them just for this part to meet up with the 3 day 2's class. Clara loved going around on her scooter and Emma tried riding some bikes. They also loved coloring with friends.
And, afterwards, for a special treat, the Gornstein gals headed to the Dobbs Diner with Sue and her two kids, Ashley and baby Ethan and Ashley's grandpa. Emma sat down next to Ashley and looked at her princess figure and said "oooh beautiful." Clara enjoyed reading the menu and when the waiter came over to request drink orders, Clara stated "chocolate milk." This girl knows what she wants. Clara and Emma eat very well out. They also both enjoyed some of Ashley's noodles.
After their nap, Emma woke up and the first thing out of her mouth was "Ashley doesn't like her meatballs. I ate her noodles. Yum, yum, yummy in my tummy." Clara went straight to the "treasure box" (aka the dress up box) for some fun things to wear.
The gals headed over to the Nicassio house for Alice's first birthday. Clara and Emma loved playing with all the trains, cars and of course, instruments. It was a fun play date and of course, there was cake, which in the end, was Clara and Emma's dinner. Oh well. It is rough being 2. One cute moment was when a little girl was crying. Emma said to her "don't cry, your Mommy is right here." Another was when the candles were lit, Emma burst out and led the kids in singing "Happy Birthday" and both were a little excited that they could help blow the candles out.
Tonight, Mommy was holding Emma and she expelled gas. She looked at Mommy and said "oh, that was a poop. No it wasn't, it was a fart."
