Halloween Celebrations Galore!

You can't beat the festivities in the area for Halloween. Today, Clara and Emma went to the Springhurst Elementary School Fall Festvial and this afternoon, to the Dobbs trick or treat in the streets event. And, Grandma Kathy and Grandpa David arrived for a visit!

Fitting It In On A Friday

What a day- Shabbat Mom Take 2 and and afternoon of Halloween!

This morning, Mommy went to Clara and Emma's class and was Shabbat Mom. After doing the blessings with the ladies and having snack, Mommy read Planting a Rainbow and Llama Llama Red Pajama.

This afternoon, after a nap, the ladies got dressed in their costumes. Emma dressed as Tinkerbell and wore a costume given to her from the neighbors (thanks!) and Clara wanted to be Cinderella and chose her green dress and a tiara. Mommy got them each grey sparkle tights and long sleeve shirts to wear underneath- which was good because because it was 20 degrees cooler than yesterday! And, yes, they insisted on makeup. Mommy put on purple eyeshadow, blush and lip gloss. The smiles on their faces as Mommy applied the makeup was priceless- they couldn't wait to look in the mirror and check themselves out. In the car, they both kept saying "you look beautiful."

Clara and Emma made appearances with Mommy at two TRPG Halloween events. The first was in Briarcliff at Holbrook Cottage where Clara and Emma painted a pumpkin together and enjoyed storytime and cookies. Mommy took the ladies to an early dinner at Friendly's where they enjoyed ordering and eating their favorite meal- french fries, grilled cheese and chocolate milk. It was off to The Little Gym for a Halloween party where Clara and Emma ran around and did lots of spinning in circles and hanging on bars.
