On Thursday, Clara and Emma drove with Mommy and Daddy to Potomac to Grandma and Grandpa Frome's house. The drive went well and after a stop for a walk and lunch at the Clara Barton stop (Mommy knows this because she told Clara that they were stopping at a place just for her), and one other brief diaper change stop, the Gornstein family arrived at about 2. At the rest stop, the girls sat in highchairs and ate their cheerios. Emma also tried to eat the table, but Mommy had covered it! Grandma gave Clara and Emma tupperware to play with and they sat on the kitchen floor banging it and eating it. After a settling in, Grandma and Grandpa Frome joined Clara and Emma and Mommy and Daddy on a walk in the park. Clara and Emma enjoyed playing with the toys and crawling around all the space. They did a nice job of sleeping through the night in the pack n' plays (which made Mommy and Daddy very happy).

On Friday, Mommy and Daddy fed Clara and Emma in a highchair and booster seat. It was a new set up from the bumbo seats Clara and Emma use at home. The girls took a nice morning nap while Mommy and Daddy helped Grandma clean up for Passover. For lunch, Grandpa joined Mommy and Daddy in taking Clara and Emma to Bethesda for lunch. In the afternoon, Aunt Alyssa arrived and Clara and Emma were excited to play with their Auntie. For dinner, Grandpa and Daddy decided to feed the girls outside even though Mommy said it would be messy. While it was fun, the girls needed a bath afterwards. Before going to bed, Clara and Emma helped light Shabbat candles. Mommy also noticed the top front tooth starting to come in for Emma.

Saturday was another very exciting, full day. In the late afternoon, Uncle Adam, Aunt Christina and cousin Lucas arrived from Houston. Clara and Emma were so excited to meet Aunt Christina and Lucas. Lucas is crawling and pulling up to standing and the girls adjusted to having boy around pretty quickly. The girls enjoyed their first seder in the early evening. They wore dresses that came with a cute hair accessory- and they actually kept it on! They wore their matzah bibs. They participated in the seder with puppets that Aunt Christina brought to help tell the four questions. They got Leap Frog Tad and Lily for afikomen presents (get it, frogs) and a book about Passover. They also read the book Aunt Alyssa brought for them and the soft book that Mommy had, so they were all ready to go with multiple haggadahs, just like Grandpa! Emma seemed to have taken a liking to the taggie blanket (thanks Aunt Jen and Uncle Steve) and looked for it in her pack n' play.

Sunday, Lucas joined Clara and Emma for breakfast and playtime. Little did they know what a fun-filled day it would be. After a nap, everyone gathered for a professional photo shoot. It was wonderful to get photos of everyone together! Mommy and Daddy realized that Emma had been banging together toys and suddenly was clapping and seems to enjoy doing it. After lunch and a nap, the girls greeted Chad and Sandy, Rachel, Craig and Lucy, cousins Jenn and Jack and Max, the Marcus family, David Levenson and the Raphaels. It was so nice to see everyone, but Clara and Emma were exhausted. Clara continued to love being on Grandma's exercise ball, while Emma liked to crawl into it. Clara and Emma also loved doing "rocketship" with Uncle Adam. Mommy also found that having Aunt Christina available to help change Emma especially was very helpful. Lucas loved taking Clara's sippy cup and enjoyed Clara and Emma's icy teethers. For the seder, Great Uncle Mort, Great Aunt Beth and cousins Pam and Soturn joined. Uncle Adam's friend Mark came again for the food, but the girls were asleep by the time he arrived. For the seder, they wore the matzah onesies that Aunt Christina bought for them and the bibs that Aunt Alyssa gave them. The girls read their story and tried to follow along with the play, where Mommy and Daddy shared the role of God. The girls had a tough time falling asleep, but finally did and slept through the night.

Today, Clara and Emma said goodbye to everyone in Maryland and headed home. They did very well and slept most of the way. Daddy had to do some work, so Mommy took the girls to the store. Mommy and Daddy think the girls are excited to have more space in the new house after experiencing it in Maryland.
