This Week In The Threes

Here is this week's note from Clara and Emma's teachers:

"This week in the Threes - Oct. 22, 2010

This week we did our first "cooking" project - we made playdoh. It took us 2 days to gather the ingredients, learn the recipe and finally to take turns adding each item and stirring. Everyone had several turns to work on this.

Of course, the playdoh is orange, the color we've been working on all week. We mixed red and yellow in various media to see what happens. Watch for paintings and collages using our color of the moment!

As the children become more familiar with one another and the toys/games we have here in school, there is a little more of the expected tussle over sharing and playing with our friends of choice. All of this is being handled by discussion, songs, stories of friendship and sharing, as well as the concept of taking turns with some of the more popular items in the classroom. Rainbow Fish is a great book for this and next week we have a wonderful art project planned to go along with the story.

Once again, music with Marcy was enjoyed by all, and our music vocabulary increases every week! Ask your child if they remember the musical words for loud, soft, fast and slow.

Shabbat Shalom! Have a wonderful weekend."
