Columbus Day Outing

Columbus Day meant no school and it was a beautiful morning, so Mommy loaded up the ladies and headed to Long Island to White Post Farms. Now Mommy knew better than to go to a "Fall Festival" day- but figured it was something to do. Here is what Mommy learned: going early doesn't always help and Mommy prefers the actual farms with less hoopla to the big event farms meant to bring in money. Sure, the kids had a good time- they enjoyed the hayride, they loved feeding the animals- and they did it by themselves (and some good teamwork too), they enjoyed the train ride, Emma had fun on her pony ride and they couldn't get enough of the playground. But, it was quite a scene! Yes, Clara wore her butterfly wings the entire day and loved "flying around" and both couldn't wait to take their sweatshirts off to see if their new t shirts from Grandma and Grandpa Gornstein (a gift from their cruise) would change colors in the sun like that had seen on Sunday. The shirts changed color and they were jumping up and down with excitement!

They napped in the car and came home to relax a bit. They headed to the playground at Kensico for a TRPG event and then made it to a playdate with friends to say hi-since the gang can't usually go on Mondays due to their therapies. However, Emma pooped in her pants- shocking that not only did she poop again, but in her pants. So, the gang headed home.
