Swimming, Swimming, At the Swimming Pool

Today was a very hot day in Maryland with temps around 90. Decked out in their Argentina jerseys, this morning, Mommy and Grandpa Frome took Clara and Emma to Cleymontji Park in Fairfax -about a 15 minute drive. In the middle of the park, there is a carousel, that the gals went on twice. It is a HUGE park that has a soft ground, features a track that kids can run on, several climbing structures and some cool equipment like trucks, planes etc to play on.While there is some shade, much of the playground is in the sun and it was hot, so after about 30 minutes, it was time to head out.

Grandpa bought Clara and Emma a pink soccerball that they picked out and a few books. Emma picked up a book with Dora and a kite on the cover and tried to read it "one day there was a kite with stripes. Dora flew the kite. And there was a rainbow. The end." She is so creative!

Clara and Emma were very excited to show Daddy their new ball and watch a little soccer- the Argentina game was on- with Daddy. Vamos Argentina- they won!

Clara and Emma even said they were tired and went straight up the stairs and climbed in their beds. Mommy read a quick story and without a peep, they went to sleep.

This afternoon, the gang headed to the pool at the JCC, where Mommy grew up going. Clara and Emma modeled their pink tutu bathing suits. They loved playing at the baby pool and were very excited to go in the big pool. Clara spent time with Grandpa in the big pool and Emma sat on the side. After enjoying some watermelon and cantelope (thanks, Grandma), and bumping into cousins Adam, Valerie and their kids, Ian and Drew, Clara and Emma couldn't wait to get back in the pool.

Mommy and Daddy got to go to Dogfish Alehouse for dinner while Grandma and Grandpa put the ladies to sleep.
