Big Girl Beds

Yup. Since Clara and Emma slept in real beds in Maryland, Mommy and Daddy decided it was time. So, this morning, Daddy converted their crib into toddler beds. He had to go buy little bed rails (the ones that Grandma and Grandpa provided were too big- for their next bed...).

Emma's bed was converted first and she climbed in a screamed, "I love my bed." They both played tent on the floor with the crib tents and loved helping change the sheets. Clara's bed was next and she stepped up in it and once all of her things were there, declared "I love my bed."

They both didn't want to leave the house because they wanted to play in their beds, but they went to their school friend Abby's 3rd birthday at Greenburgh Nature Center. Without a problem, both loved touching the turtle and the snake and even enjoyed saying hi to the owl. After pizza and cake, it was time to come home, hopefully tired.

Good news- nap #1 in new bed went well. Clara was found out of the bed and when Mommy and Daddy reminded her the rules about being in a bed (thanks, Grandma Frome), Clara went right back in and they both took a nap.
