Queens County Farm and Family!

Today, Clara and Emma had a very busy morning, despite the humidity!

This morning, the gang headed to the Queens County Farm Museum to walk around. It is sort of like a Muscoot Farm in Westchester, for those that have been. The kids got to see some cows, pigs, sheep and chickens (one had a great yellow and black mohawk). There was a raspberry tree too that they both noticed. The best part was showing the ladies the eggs in the chicken coop and then watching one of the women that works at the farm go in and get the eggs and bring them to be cleaned and sold to the public. The kids enjoyed checking out the basket of eggs and both asked if the could "crack them."

A few minutes down the road, the gang went to Cousin Steven's house where family, including Grandma and Grandpa Frome and Auntie Alyssa were gathering after the unveiling for Mommy's Great Uncle Sam and Great Aunt Francis. Mommy has very fond memories of them and they came to every bar and bat mitzvah in Maryland from New York and even made it to Mommy and Daddy's wedding. Cousin Steve got Clara and Emma a boat and train- and they were very excited! Plus, he showed them two of his amazing trains. They also got to meet a few cousins!

Clara was overtired and Emma could have kept going probably, but they both fell asleep a few minutes after the car started and took about an hour nap- Daddy had to drive around for a bit after arriving back in Westchester. The gals watched some Mary Poppins and enjoyed dinner with Mommy and Daddy. Emma absolutely loved the rice and Clara wanted nothing to do with it- even though it had butter- she wanted just butter. No go.

The rain storm was brief, but welcome, as the temperature has dropped and it is actually comfortable outside!
