After finally getting Clara dressed- first she didn't like the fact that the capris she was wearing didn't touch the floor-then she didn't like the dress Mommy picked- and then finally, she said okay to a new dress from Grandma Kathy, because it had rainbows...
Mommy loaded up the gals for a short drive to Purchase (less than 20 min) to meet up with Brooke and her kids, Jared and Avery at The Kendall Gardens at Pepsico.
It is a beautiful place and all of the kids loved running around. There were great paths to walk, shady areas to stop, benches to sit on, and a great lake with a fountain that made a rainbow. The sculptures were really cool and it was interesting to see the little ones interact with them. They also loved the lily pond and watching the dragon flies and looking at the beautiful flowers.
After their nap, Mommy had to drop a few things off and because the ladies were so good, Mommy took them to Rita's Ice in Elmsford and they both got chocolate flavored ice and loved it. The day was topped off with some fun time outside in the backyard.
Clara insisted on wearing rainbow socks with her pajamas- a short sleeve panda shirt (also required by Clara) and green polka dot shorts.
