Clara and Emma were ready with their backpacks on, sitting on the bottom stair at 8 am. Mommy explained that it wasn't time to go until 9, but they didn't care- they wanted to go to camp. Mommy spent the morning labeling clothes and preparing their backpacks. Mommy even safety pinned a note to Emma's backpack (since they both wanted to wait to pee until they got to camp to go on the little potty). Clara wanted something on her backpack too, so Mommy pinned the envelope with the money for challah on Fridays on hers!
Mommy decided to just start with the drop off- Mommy pulls up and they take the kids out of the car. Clara saw her counselor and screamed with joy and jumped right out, with Emma following. And, that was that.
The camp day is longer than their school day was- 9:15-12:15. Clara and Emma smiled when the saw Mommy and talked about their day. Clara said "It was hot," and Emma said "It was fun." They asked to go back again, so that is a good sign!
