Clara and Emma are 2 Years and 10 months

Someone noted to Mommy today that their 3rd birthday is in 8 weeks. Uhhhh, how did that happen?

Clara says "no thank you," and is very polite - even if it is in the middle of the night and she is on the potty (at her request, usually because Emma woke up, Clara will say, I have to pee."  Clara still won't try new foods and very much dislikes raisins saying  "I don't like raisins. I don't like." It is often predictable what will come out of her mouth as she will repeat something Emma says. Clara has mastered peeing on the potty and is able to tell someone when she needs to go. Mommy taught the ladies to squat outside because the gals were often at the park or other place with no potty. Clara thinks this is the best and sometimes prefers to pee outside. All of this said, Clara still likes to poop in her pull up during her nap. Clara has also decided that she must wear pajamas for her nap. So, Mommy changes her and Emma and then after the nap, puts them back in clothes. An extra step not needed, but at least they still nap. Clara continues to LOVE being outside and wants to climb on anything and really has no fear. She still sings "I've been working on the railroad" and likes to run around with the guitar. Her hair is super curly and she has those great boingy curls- it is amazing how long her hair is when it is wet! At night, when Mommy says "I love you," Clara says " I love you very much."

Emma still needs to be reminded to pee, but is so thrilled with herself when she does it. Emma's tummy still bothers her and sometimes, leads to major cranky issues. She is less picky about her clothes and her food- and will try anything, especially if it is on Daddy's plate. She doesn't usually finish any food, but loves macaroni and cheese and cereal and yes, raisins. Emma loves to swing high and begs to be pushed "as high as the sky." She likes to do her wiggle dance (naked or just wearing underwear) at night before getting dressed.Since Mommy told her to look for the tag and that was the side that went towards her back, she takes an item of clothing and announces she is looking for the tag. Emma loves to say "Clara is my best friend," and tries to hold Clara's hand all the time. Emma likes to sing too- the watermelon song and David Melech are favorites from this month. She also will sing songs from her favorite tv show Gabba.

Clara and Emma both are obsessed with dressing up and at least twice a day, can be found in different dresses, jewelry and hats. They love checking themselves out in the mirror aka oven door. And, while they fight and there is lots of ping pong discipline, they really love each other and being together. They chat in the mornings when they wake up and at night when the go to sleep. If one is crying, the other comes to say everything is okay- even if that one is crying because they got in trouble for hitting/kicking/biting. They both could live on ice cream and watermelon. And, they are just so happy that they get to see more of Daddy now that tax season is over.
