Happy Father's Day

It was a hot and humid Father's Day!

The ladies spent a few minutes with the sprinkler, but weren't sure about it and it looked like it was about to pour, so Mommy and Grandma took them inside and by the time they were dressed again, it was sunny.

Daddy grilled up a yummy dinner. Emma told everyone "Stop talking. you have to be quiet. It's Father's Day." Daddy got his wish for a minute there...  Clara licked the corn instead of biting it and when she bit it, got corn "hair" in her mouth and didn't like that.  The kids loved giving Daddy the rocks they made at school for him. And, wow, did the ladies love dessert - from the chocolate strawberries, brownies, apple pie and Daddy's favorite black and white cookies from Glaser's (thanks Auntie Alyssa), it was all quite a hit!

While Daddy took Auntie Alyssa to the train, Clara and Emma did a music performance for Grandma and Grandpa Gornstein. Mommy said "Presenting..." and Emma followed with "Playing the piano, Emma," and Clara said "On the guitar, Clara."

Emma told Grandma the entire Cinderella story, prompted by Mommy asking her about when she watched the movie with Grandpa Frome last week.

Emma found a pair of Mommy's low heels and enjoyed walking around the house in them. Bedtune featured one of Clara and Emma's new routines.

Clara: (Pretending to rub her eyes), "waah, wahh, I a baby."
Emma: I'll hold you. It's okay. It's okay (all while rubbing Clara's back).
Emma: My turn. "Waah, Waah."
Clara: Leans over to hug Emma
