Rainbeau Ridge

Mommy and Daddy were talking in the car and having a disagreement. Emma chimed in "okay, okay, let's calm down." Ha!

The gang was the first family to arrive for Farm Days at Rainbeau Ridge in Bedford Hills, about a  25 minute drive from home. The owner of the farm, Lisa, greeted the Gornsteins upon arrival and gave us a map. There is no formal programming on these special Saturdays, just an opportunity to see this family farm that is known in the area for making great cheese.

There were cows, llamas, chickens, sheep and lots of goats. Clara wasn't so sure of all the animals at the start and clung to Daddy. Emma was a little more excited and they both walked around talking back to the sheep with their individual "baa." After lunch, the ladies were invited by Lisa to come meet a one week old goat (one had been born that morning too and they did see that one in the barn). Lisa was incredible and sat the kids down next to each other and put the baby goat on their lap. The kids were all smiles and pet the goat very gently. Clara liked that he would nibble on her shirt and tried to kiss her!

For being the first family to participate in the summer open Saturdays, the gang got to take home a bag! It was a really wonderful morning.

The ladies were exhausted and took a great nap. In the afternoon, everyone headed to Stew's for some fro yo and ice cream and a little shopping.
