Sunday Afternoon Rosh Hashanah Playdate and Tashlich

Clara and Emma enjoyed waking up at Grandma and Grandpa Gornstein's house this morning a little earlier than usual, which led to a cranky morning.

This afternoon, the gang headed over to the Brenner's house in Hastings. Mommy went to high school with Jamie and reconnected at Yom Kippur services last year. Their oldest daughter will be starting nursery school with Clara and Emma this week. Their tv was on the glitch and believe it or not, Daddy and Jamie walked through Hastings and couldn't find it playing! The good news is that the Jets won their 2nd game of the season and Clara and Emma are getting better at the "J-E-T-S" cheer. The kids enjoyed some challah and apples and honey, before heading to the Dobbs Ferry waterfront for Tashlich.

After a very short prayer service that Emma talked most of the way through- except for the parts where there was singing, Clara and Emma participated in the symbolic "tossing of their sins" by throwing bread in the water. After, there were some games for kids including a running relay and potato sack races that Clara and Emma participated in with their other friends, Ashley, Gabriella and Noah. It was adorable!

Emma's got a new habit- one asks her a question and she says "I don't know, maybe... (insert right answer to question). Mommy and Daddy aren't sure why, but hope that it ends soon.

Mommy read something in a parenting magazine today- it said toddlers throw a tantrum every 20 minutes. So basically, that means that the Gornstein gang should expect a tantrum every ten minutes or so... fun!
