Clara and Emma Meet Their Nursery School Teachers

Clara and Emma enjoyed making mini pancake sandwiches and trying to fit them in their mouth...yes, Daddy taught them that one. Emma sat singing her ABC's- the entire song, and at the end saying "I did it," and starting all over again. She has been doing this for a week or so and Mommy thinks it is cool. And, Clara also joins in too.

This morning, Clara and Emma enjoyed a visit from their nursery school teachers. The ladies will be starting preschool officially at Greenburgh Hebrew Center. Their teachers, Laurie and Helene came over to meet Clara and Emma and get to know them in their own environment. Clara and Emma loved playing with the Cookie Monster back pack and putting cookies in Cookie's mouth and taking them out of the back pack. Mommy loved that Clara made a good attempt at saying "backpack" and Emma kept saying "pakpak" mushing the "b" and "p" together. They enjoyed reading The Very Hungry Catepillar, playing with stickers and coloring with markers. Emma informed Mommy that she "made a rainbow on her arm" because she had marker all over herself.

Clara and Emma will visit the classroom later this week.

Mommy announced it was time to go, so Clara and Emma went over and got their purses and kept saying "backpack." And yes, they insisted on walking out the door with them too. Too funny.

After their nap, Clara and Emma enjoyed their chocolate milk. When they were done, Clara walked over and opened the trash and put it in and then walked towards Mommy shaking her head up and down, confident that she was a big girl and did the right thing. Emma was in another room at the time, but followed suit about five minutes later.

This afternoon, it was off for a play date with new friends Maiya and her new baby sister Emma, and their Mommy, Stacy. The Gornstein girls met Maiya and her grandma at the park last month and Maiya is the same age as Clara and Emma. The ladies had a nice time playing inside with Maiya's dollhouse and outside with the soccer balls and net and sand table. It is hard being 2 as sometimes the ladies didn't want to share, but they need to learn sometime!

At bedtime, Emma sang "Rock a bye baby," sang twinkle and did her "I cuddle with Mommy now on the floor" shtick. Clara was cooked after she did "rock a bye baby" with Daddy and didn't want to "switch" as the gang does as part of the routine.
