Rosh Hashanah 2009

Today, Clara and Emma went to their first tot Rosh Hashanah service. Daddy came too! The gang knew lots of people there. Clara and Emma got to show Daddy their classroom. The ladies loved the snack- apples, honey, graham crackers and pretzels.

This afternoon, Clara and Emma took a nap in the car as Daddy drove to Staten Island to Grandma and Grandpa's house. They greeted everyone with "shana tova" and sang their "apples and honey for rosh hashanah." They enjoyed playing with Grandpa's cars- and breaking them too. They also liked their new book from Grandma and Grandpa Gornstein, "Sammy Spider's First Rosh Hashanah." The ladies enjoyed Grandma's homemade gefilte fish for a snack-they ate it all! Clara and Emma were very excited to eat apples and honey and challah- Mommy swears they ate a loaf between them. Clara got very tired and Mommy tried putting her down early- it seemed that she just needed a little quiet time and then came back to join everyone for dessert. Of course, Clara didn't want to miss singing happy birthday to cousin Matt or the strawberry shortcake that had candles on it to celebrate Mommy and Daddy's anniversary. Clara and Emma loved blowing out the candles and eating the cake...
