Clara and Emma's Nursery School Classroom Visit

Today was a milestone. While it was just the classroom visit with a parent, it was certainly a moment to pause and reflect on how much these little girls have grown. Mommy really can't believe her babies are old enough to go to school on their own!

Mommy prepared Clara and Emma by telling them they were going to see Cookie Monster and the backpack at school. Emma kept saying "they come here." Mommy made an attempt at taking first day of school pics and Clara wasn't really interested. Since today was a "dry run" and just the classroom visit, Mommy will try again on Tuesday, the first official day.

Clara and Emma walked into school holding Mommy's hands very tightly. They were a little confused and not sure where they were, but when their classroom door opened and they saw their teachers, they walked right in and started playing. They had a fabulous time playing with the dollhouse, in the kitchen, going on the slide and playing in the loft with the tools- in fact, they didn't want to leave. Mommy had to drag the ladies out of the classroom!

The real test is Tuesday, the first official day of school!

Then, it was off to LIFE for The Rivertown Play Group Thursday event. It was nice to see some friends and a reconnect with a friend, Lori, and her daughter, Emma, from the city that Mommy met at the 92nd St Y drop in program. Clara and Emma loved climbing up and going down the slide.

Today was the babysitter, Samantha's last day with Clara and Emma. She is moving to Baltimore and getting married. Clara and Emma walked her outside and said goodbye. She was an amazing addition to the family over the past year!

Daddy arrived home early and went with Mommy and the gang to the grocery store to pick up some apples for Rosh Hashanah.
