Apples and Honey for Rosh Hashanah

Clara and Emma had a lovely afternoon. They got to celebrate Anabelle's 2nd birthday at her house with the Friday play group. It was nice to see old friends and hang out. The ladies enjoyed helping Anabelle open her presents too. Clara and Emma loved the carrot cake cupcakes that were made to celebrate this occassion (Mommy did too). And, Clara again loved hers so much, she just went after Emma's and kept following her around trying to get some.

When the girls arrived home, it was time to do some apples and honey and challah and honey to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. Clara and Emma loved dipping the apples in the honey and recited the song Mommy taught them this morning, "apples and honey for rosh hashanah." Then, Mommy taught them the blessing for the challah and they enjoyed it too. Yummy!

It is a special day too because it is Mommy and Daddy's 4th wedding anniversary.

The Gornsteins wish you a shana tova u'metuka- a happy and sweet new year.
