ZOO!

It was a beautiful day again. So, Mommy decided to head to the Bronx Zoo.

The gals saw the tigers, visited the giraffe inside his house and watched him has snack, saw the bear wandering on his mountain top, begged the peacock (which Emma identified and said like in Argentina) to spread its wings, watched the monkeys swing in the trees and more! Mommy even took them out of the stroller for the Congo exhibit and put their monkey backpacks on. Because it was mostly enclosed, it allowed Clara and Emma to walk around some. Of course, they didn't want to get back in, so Clara pushed the stroller and Emma wandered on the side.

Clara and Emma loved the bug carousel! Clara got to ride the ladybug and Emma got to ride the yellow cicada. Of course, they wanted to go again, but Mommy was able to get them off and back in the stroller.

At the end, the girls watched the seals sit on the rock and bathe in the sun. The loved it when the Daddy seal yelped and when the seals jumped in the water.

After their nap, Mommy took the kids to the park - one never tried before- on Central Ave. in Hartsdale. It was muddy and had some ice, but fun. Clara and Emma were very excited to try the tire swing too. It is quite a sight to watch Clara climb up the tire ladder while wearing a two tutus!

Late in the day, Clara and Emma enjoyed "meeting neighbors," as Emma said on the walk in the neighborhood.

Clara is still on a bath strike. Mommy managed to put her in the tub and hold on to her while pouring water on her- forget shampoo or soap.

After their books tonight, Clara and Emma wanted Mommy to do rock a bye together- as in hold both of them and sing. They both lay down on their tummys over Mommy's legs and Emma put her arm around Clara as Mommy sang. They giggled the whole time and were so excited to sing twinkle and roll on top of each other. Emma still goes to bed easily after being tucked in, getting a hug and a kiss and a high five. And, no one has figured out why Clara screams and yells and doesn't like the way she is tucked in.
