Book Bash

Clara and Emma slept through the night with no problems, which was great since everyone was so tired from yesterday!

This morning started with creating Grandma Kathy's birthday card (okay, a day late, but..) and having Clara and Emma say something to be recorded. It worked, but then wouldn't play back. However, the song "You're Simply The Best," came on and Clara and Emma started dancing around and didn't want Mommy to stop opening the card. This is the second time they've seen this kind of card- the first one came from Grandpa Frome who sent one of his cards from his birthday to Clara and Emma. When Grandma came upstairs, Clara and Emma gave her the card and giggled and danced through the song.

Mommy went to put on Elmo, but Emma requested "orhestwork." AKA the orchestra dvd. Super cute.

Emma had her 2 1/2 year old check up today. Mommy even got a compliment about how well she listened and behaved... Emma weighs 25 lbs and is 35 inches. She is in the10%. Neither lady was thrilled that they had to get a shot (the second h1n1 shot). But, they got to carry a bandaid around and Clara put it on her shirt like a sticker. The trip to The Container Store was not as smooth after they decided they didn't want to be in the cart and just wanted to run around. Not good.

Clara and Emma headed over to Citibabes with Mommy and Grandma Kathy for Mommy's event, Book Bash to support LitWorld. It featured storytime, making bookmarks, yummy food, great music with Brett Rothenhaus and giftbags. Clara and Emma loved all of the desserts! But they were worn out and fell right to sleep!
