It Was Too Good To Be True

Well, the Gornstein's didn't really end up totally unscathed by the recent storm. Daddy woke up this morning and realized that there was no gas in the house, which meant no heat. After a call to Con Ed, it wasn't too long before several trucks were in the area checking it out as the whole neighborhood had the same problem. While so many friends in Westchester are without power, heat etc, because it is a gas issue, Con Ed got here quickly. They put up a staging area and had several trucks and individuals working on the problem.

Daddy had already arranged to go in late so he could help Mommy take Clara and Emma to the new allergist in Westchester. It was a long interview about what Clara and Emma's food issues are and some of Clara's seasonal allergies too. The gang will return in a month to do some testing to determine if the hives the kids get from some foods is an issue or not.

Daddy ended up working from home while Clara and Emma enjoyed time in Mommy and Daddy's room cuddling and keeping warm under the covers. After their nap, Mommy took the ladies to LIFE to run around. Mommy was impressed how well Clara was able to navigate the climbing structure. The gang stoppped at the house to pick up Daddy and then headed to Pumpernickel for dinner. Mommy has decided she will no longer order food for Clara and Emma but get a double order of what Daddy gets since the ladies always eat his food anyhow.

As of tonight, there is still no heat, but the gang is warm with the space heaters in each bedroom.
