A Very Messy Friday

This morning, Clara and Emma went to "The Rivertown Play Group Presents: Toddler Messy Art and Movement." It was so much fun! Friends Ethan, Sebastian and Anabelle were there too. It was taught by Pam and Elana and was such a nice morning activity. The class started with some free play with wonderful toys. Emma found a nice big Elmo to make friends with and Clara found the computer. During circle time, the ladies enjoyed singing songs, but mostly liked eating cheerios. Clara wasn't up for sharing all the bowls and tried taking them from the other kids. After snack, there was a short sorting activity and then dancing with scarves before the art project. Today, Clara and Emma got to use rollers and paint. They loved going back and forth with the rollers and the blue and red paint. Then, Pam put glitter on each of their beautiful pieces. The class ended with bubbles! Mommy was determined to keep Clara and Emma up until 12, so the blankies didn't come in the car. While there were some yawns, Mommy hit the drive thru Starbucks and got a coffee for her and a croissant for Clara and Emma (they were out of bagels- which Emma was requesting). They enjoyed their messy snack and ran around the house a bit, before eating some lunch. They did go to sleep at 12, but didn't sleep very long- only until 1:15. Then, Mommy took them to the park in Hastings. They loved being outside on the swings and walking around the tennis courts. They were exhausted around 3:30, but Mommy kept them up and fed them an early dinner. Mommy hopes that they will both learn to sleep longer as they now have one nap and some of that is probably "training."
