Snow Day in March

It is a very snowy day here in Dobbs. Daddy went to work and Mommy, Clara and Emma are still in their pjs.

The morning started with a happy birthday call to Grandma Frome. Mommy and Grandma heard Clara say "happy." Clara and Emma also practiced sitting on their pottys- and taking them apart, stepping on them and moving them around.

Mommy has been thinking of trying to move Clara and Emma to one nap, so because it is their 19 month birthday, and probably time, Mommy thought she would try it. Also, they didn't seem too tired at 945-10. So, Mommy took the ladies outside for some fun in the snow. Emma went right out and then she fell and got her hands in the snow and didn't like it. Clara stood by the door and then eased out and then loved walking in the snow. It lasted five minutes.

Clara and Emma also enjoyed coloring. They both saw "draw" and love to color- both scribbling and in circles. They ate some cheese and strawberries for lunch- they weren't interested in the bread. Mommy is just happy they are eating, especially Clara, who hasn't really been eating well for the past month and skipped dinner last night. Mommy was most entertained when Clara and Emma took some of the wipes and pretended to blow their noses. Emma said "ah choo" and then Mommy taught her to say "bless you," so she walked around for at least five minutes repeating this routine. Clara just kept pretending to blow her nose and then Elmo's nose and her baby's nose. At least the have learned something with these colds...
Clara spent much of the afternoon walking around with Mommy's keys and saying "key." She also would bend and stand up like she was doing a dance. It was too funny. Emma chased her around and tried to put Daddy's hat on Clara's head. Daddy came home in time to help give Clara and Emma dinner. Clara wasn't interested again. Once Clara was out of the highchair, she took the fork with food and fed it to the baby. Twice. Mommy took Clara to the kitchen and tried to give her cheese, and she only had a bite. Then, she saw a banana so Daddy tried it and of course, she ate it. So much for a well-rounded diet.
