Mommy took Clara to Lord and Taylor this morning. Clara took a little pen and notebook she got as a party favor with her and was taking notes. Mommy asked her what she was doing and she said "writing down the shoes." A girl after her Mommy's heart! Clara loved watching Mommy try on shoes and started telling Mommy which ones she liked (the pink very expensive ones were at the top of her list).
Clara slept in the car while waiting to pick up Emma at school. She took a short nap this afternoon but sat with Mommy while Emma was sleeping (on the floor). She took a handful of crayons in her hand and another crayon in the other hand closed her eyse and pretended to play violin. She said she was "making instruments." She has a great ability to entertain herself and use her imagination to play alone. Pretty cool.
This afternoon, Mommy made smores with the ladies. They both put on smocks as bibs and didn't mind that they weren't on right. Mommy made up a way to do it by melting some fluff and some chocolate chips (and melting the plastic bowl too- no comment). The kids spread the marshmallow and the chocolate and put the graham cracker on top and took a bite. Emma was thrilled and said "this is amazing," and Clara wasn't sure about the stickiness, but tried a few bites.
Tonite, Emma showed Mommy and Daddy how she can write her name- she does the "E" backwards sometimes and sometimes correctly and got the "M" well. She was very proud of herself. The kids enjoyed some drumming with markers too!
