Gornstein Hanukkah Party 2010

Clara was up again last night complaining of pain in her other ear. And, Emma woke up with a rash. So, it was off to the pediatrican where Clara got diagnosed with another ear infection (while she was already on Augmentin and the second one the week) and Emma with a possible reaction to Amoxicillin. Clara got a new antibiotic and drops (since she has tubes, the infections can be treated directly). It will be another Monday with a visit to the ENT!

After a visit to the grocery store in their new favorite twin cart, Clara and Emma took a nap before heading ot Staten Island for the family Hanukkah party. Clara and Emma read the Toys R Us holiday catalog that came with the paper cover to cover. Clara wants drums and talks about the symbols and crash drum while Emma wants a Baby Alive.

The kids all loved opening the gifts - sleds, a Dora dress up, a castle to color, an apron baking set, a crayon apron, puzzles, clothes and more! THANK YOU!

Clara and Emma loved Grandma's food and even ate the asapragus soup- yes, even Clara ate the green soup that was a made from a vegetable. They both tried the latkes and brisket too. And dessert with the dulce de leche cake, Hanukkah cookies and apple cake was tasty too!

A highlight was sitting with Suzy and making dreidel shrinky dinks- a huge hit! The kids loved coloring them and enjoyed watching them shrink up in the oven.
