Rainbow Popsicles and Chocolate Ice Cream

Clara did pretty well her first night home. The medicine wore off a few times before she could get it again and Mommy gave her a popsicle at 10 pm and then chocolate ice cream at 1... Clara's really been so good.

In the morning, Mommy left the kitchen for a few minutes and came back and Emma wasn't there. She had gone downstairs, taken Hungry Hippos out of the toy cabinet, the little balls out of the bag and started playing.

Emma was excited to go school in Steph's car and come home in Sue's car and kept talking about it. She was tired and didn't want to nap, which led to a car nap on the way to the pediatrican

Mommy took both kids to Clara's appointment at the pediatrician for her second dose of antibiotic in the form of a shot. Clara screamed but then rebounded fairly well and talked about her shot and band-aids. And, both couldn't wait to have popsicles together and enjoyed sharing with each other.

The ladies enjoyed the last nite of Hanukkah this year. They really got the holiday this year and it was really cool to listen to them say the blessings, sing so many songs, play dreidel, talk about the 8 nights and yes, open their gifts.

They've also been playing quite a bit with their magnatiles and building different things. Emma loves to make an octagon with triangles.

This morning, Clara wanted a popsicle for breakfast. Emma looked at Mommy and said "I want a popsicle too." Then she whined a bit about it. Mommy told her when she came back from school she could have one and she seemed to accept that.

Clara was running a fever so Mommy took her to the ENT. Good news is that Clara's ears are improving and that the doctor said we can give her a little more pain medication. She came home and took a nap while Emma stayed later at school and enjoyed lunch bunch. Emma had a great time at school and was so tired, went right to sleep in the car on the way to her OT/PT appointments.

Clara finally ate something substantial tonight- challah and cream cheese. They both love their new Cinderella doll and like last night, put her to bed on the floor. Emma took great care in making her a a magnatile bed, getting her a pillow (her sheep) and tucking her in. She even gave Cinderella some of her stuffed toys to sleep with. The best was that Emma wanted to read to Cinderella before Mommy read to Emma and Clara.
