Clara and Emma couldn't wait to ride the train. Emma yelled "All Aboard," several times and kept saying "choo choo."
The gals enjoyed climbing back into the big stroller (Mommy finds using the jogger better for these adventures) and taking a walk around the small zoo to see the animals. The girls really wanted to go on the carousel, so Emma hopped on the gorilla and Clara stood with Mommy after deciding she didn't want to ride anything.
There are three playgrounds for kids of different ages- all wonderful! Clara and Emma loved running around! Of course, Mommy needed to pull the plug on the playground when Emma demanded to go in the swing and Clara was half way up to the high slide and in need of supervision. Both weren't happy that Mommy made them leave, but it got unmanageable and Mommy prefers to stick with smaller parks or have two adults at these excursions! Both kids screamed that they wanted to go on the train again, so Mommy promised another time!
Too bad the ride home also featured two screaming toddlers. No snack or song was going to make a difference. And, of course, there was traffic on the GW. Oy.
Still, a great place to go on a beautiful morning.
This afternoon, the ladies loved being at their ballet/modern dance class. They kvetched again on the way home, let's home Tuesday is better!
When pulling in the driveway, Emma noted the "pink flowers," on the tree. Mommy had pointed out some of the buds yesterday and today, they started to open. Something really cool about this house is seeing all of the trees experience re growth. Spring is here as literally there were trees with no flowers just a week ago and today, there are trees flowering all over. Pretty neat.
The good news (well, at least for Mommy) is that they were so tired, Clara asked to go to her room early and Emma joined her and Mommy put them in their cribs without a peep.
