Outside Fun

Clara and Emma enjoyed picking out their own plants and walking around the nursery this morning. They managed to find some puddles and jump in them too! Upon arriving home, they enjoyed taking the dirt out of the planters, picking the plants they wanted to plant, taking off the casing, putting them in, placing new dirt and watering the plants. It was a fun and dirty way to start off the day and enjoy the beautiful morning! It should be noted that not only did Clara have to wear mismatched rainbow socks, but one mitten she found and refused to take off- Mommy called her "Michael Jackson." They kids also wore "lion" t's that say their astrological sign- very appropriate since they love turning each other into lions (abra cadabra, you a lion).

For lunch. Daddy helped Clara and Emma make their first matzo brie. At first they weren't sure whether they wanted to eat it, but they realized Mommy and Daddy were eating it too, so they enjoyed it as well.

This afternoon, the ladies wanted to go on a hike, so the gang headed over to Scarsdale for a walk along the Bronx River. This, after Clara and Emma somehow got it in their heads that they needed hiking boots and tried to convince Mommy that their pink winter boots were hiking boots. After getting Clara to agree to wear her pink sneakers vs her purple crocs, the fashionista joined for a fun adventure. Seeing a waterfall, walking over bridges, watching ducks and yes, more walking sticks were highlights. The kids wanted to go to a playground, so the gang headed over to the elementary school in Ardsley. There are three playgrounds- all fantastic. Clara and Emma loved going on the high slide!
