Another Tax Season Ends!

Oh happy day! Daddy got to be home and help with the ladies when they woke up. They were so excited.

Here is a note about school today:

Dear Parents,

We used rollers to paint big rectangles, which we hung up in our hallway to create a city skyline. The Rectangle City scene replaces the Triangle Boat scene that was there before.

We also experimented with color-mixing, and saw that red and yellow makes orange! Then we glued on little white rectangles to be the windows of our tall buildings.

We read a book about a dinosaur who goes into the big city and sees all the tall buildings. And we read The Shape of Things, about how a lot of the things we see every day are in the shape of circles, squares, rectangles, and other shapes.

See the completed Rectangle City up in the hallway!

Love,

Laurie and Helene"

After school, Mommy took the kids to the park and had a little picnic. Really, the went down the slide and then would come back to the blanket, have a drink or a bite of food and then go back down the slide.

Clara and Emma also got to help bake brownie cake to celebrate the end of tax season, but Daddy will have to enjoy them tomorrow since he is out with the partners tonight!

Emma loves to come out of the bath and say "look, I'm pruney." And tonight, Clara climbed out of the tub while Mommy was drying off Emma. Thankfully, when she slipped, Mommy caught her, and made sure that they both understood not to do that again!
