Happy Birthday Mommy!

Mommy woke up the ladies and told them that today was her birthday and got a great "happy birthday" song from both.

After breakfast, Mommy loaded the gals up and headed to NYC. Mommy drove in down the Saw Mill and parked on 56th and 9th. Not a bad drive and probably less traffic than usual because of Good Friday.
After a short walk on a beautiful, sunny and warm morning, the gang arrived at Radio City Music Hall for the Nickolodeon Storytime Live show.

Clara and Emma waived to Uncle Ilan and crew and enjoyed snacks while waiting for the show to begin. Mommy doesn't actually recall ever being inside Radio City, so it was neat.

The show featured Moose, Zee, Kai Lan, Backyardigans, Wonder Pets and Dora and was a big hit for Clara and Emma. Clara and Emma even got up a few times to dance in the aisle.

Mommy headed out a little before the end knowing that it would take a few minutes to get the stroller (although the seats were at the Orchestra level, so that made it easier) and get the kids out the door. Grandma and Grandpa Gornstein and cousins Ale and Romi, visiting from Argentina, greeted everyone outside and together, headed over to Mars 2112. Emma wasn't too sure of the martian people that visited and kept saying she was scared and would bury her head in Mommy or hide behind Mommy- at one point, she hid under the table. Clara waived to them... They also played with their little trucks. Picture it- Clara, decked out in two tutus and her heart sunglasses, playing with trucks.

Since it was during Clara and Emma's nap, they did suprisingly well, but after they ate, Mommy decided it was time to go before any huge meltdowns. Clara fell asleep in the stroller and didn't transfer to the car because Emma kept yelling "Clara, wake up."

Mommy put them down in their cribs and with little fight, they went to sleep and Mommy woke them about an hour later so as not to disturb their sleep at night. When they woke up, not only were their "amigos" in the house aka our cleaning ladies, but Grandma and Grandpa Gornstein and cousins Ale and Romi. Clara and Emma loved their gifts- dolls from Argentina and insisted on taking them on a walk. They also wanted to wear their fairy wings and flap their wings outside.

Daddy came home and took Mommy, Ale and Romi to Half Moon for dinner. Mommy managed to get a reservation at the last minute there and got a seat by the window and the beautiful sunset. Couldn't have asked for anything better. Mommy and Daddy got to blow out the candles on Mommy's fruit with whipped cream and a side of chocolate sauce (yep, that is one of those things Mommy gets from Grandpa Frome).

What a day! Thanks everyone for all your sweet wishes!
