Emma went on the potty and peed right away and Clara didn't. Emma asked for Raisin Brown for breakfast- Mommy has told her that it is Raisin Bran, but she always says "brown." The gals spent a few hours playing dress up with all of their Disney princess outfits. Emma said she wanted to look in the mirror, and Mommy opened the closet door with a full length mirror. Her response: "No, I want the mirror on the oven." This is where they stared at themselves, twirled around, said things like "presenting princess Clara/Emma," and more.
It was time to attempt an outing close by.Mommy tried the potty in the parking lot with Emma, but it was a little chilly and a no go. So, the gals walked in the store, found the bathroom, Mommy put the seat on and both kids went! And, Mommy was so proud! This is a huge thing that they can both pee on the potty outside of the house AND that Mommy had an outing on her own with them now that they are out of diapers.
Clara and Emma visited the farm at Stew's. They have been asking for months when the animals would come back and this weekend, they returned for spring/summer/fall. The cows and sheep were in the barn, but they got to look through the window and see them. The goats were wandering and trying to talk to Clara and Emma. For some reason, the singing cow display by the farm scared Emma, which of course, then scared Clara. But, they both got a reward/bribe for their good job at going potty- little Max and Ruby beanie baby dolls.
At home, Emma went first and then Mommy knew to put Clara back on and she went. And, they both had lots of juice, so 30 minutes later, they both went on and did it again. Mommy took the kids outside for a bit and noticed Clara pulling her pants and she said she needed to go, so Mommy swooped her inside and got her to the potty on time! And, the great news is that both went before their nap.
They both woke up with poopie in their pull up, but that will come. And, Clara peed on the potty before going to ballet. On the way there, Emma said "Mommy, slow down, you are going too fast." Emma didn't and Mommy knew that the first stop was the bathroom at Kidville. So, in the gang went for a little bit of a frustrating visit. They had their own Blue's Clues seat there and Clara and Emma wanted to use it, but didn't go. Mommy knew Emma needed to go, but after her screaming, it wasn't worth it. Clara and Emma enjoyed ballet, but Mommy but as a little overwhelmed and frustrated by that point. There was an 18 month old joining her sister in the class that enjoyed saying Emma. However, she said it to Clara and so, Clara looked at her and said "I'm not Emma, I Clara."This is really funny because for so long, Clara would say her name was Emma. Emma went with her friend Anabelle and her Mommy to the potty and went. And, after trying again on the way out (nothing) it was time to go home. Clara went right when she got home and Emma wasn't interested. Finally, they drank some more and played lots more dress up.
They were so excited to see Daddy and tell him about their day.
In summary, Emma had one little accident very early in the morning and Clara had a dry day. Granted, Mommy put them on the potty quite frequently, but, they are making progress. Tomorrow is a big day as Clara and Emma go to school. Lots of M&Ms and stickers and extra clothes will go with them.
