The Artistic Side of Clara and Emma

Tuesday featured Great Play and it was so nice to be amongst friends. Clara, Emma and Mommy all enjoy it so much! Mommy took Clara and Emma to the mall quickly to run some errands. It was a treat to have Daddy home early to play and help bathe Clara and Emma.

On Wednesday, after the weather cleared from a little snowstorm, Mommy took the ladies to Target and to the Westchester. It was a nice diversion and even though Mommy thinks this is a perk of the 'burbs, it is still annoying to have to go the mall to have something to do on a cold, rainy day! Mommy was pleased to have Heather and Allie over in the late afternoon. The ladies watched a little of Jack's Big Music Show- both like it, but Emma loves the music and smiles and claps. Mommy is thinking of enrolling for music again because they seem to enjoy it so much.

Well, today wasn't one of our best, even though the babysitter, Samantha was around to help. Emma was in lots of pain from teething and didn't want to be without Mommy. She cried and screamed much of the day, so Mommy hung out at home and just appreciated having a second set of hands. There were a few bright moments, which featured art. Clara and Emma tried the toddler markers for the first time and also tried fingerpaint (the mess-free kind) by Crayola. They enjoyed it and Mommy is pleased to have found a new activity! Mommy did take Clara and Emma and Samantha out for a few errands and to the grocery store, which they seemed to enjoy. Samantha and Mommy sang the Elmo song to Emma and she tried to say "la, la" and clapped and swayed along. Clara ate dinner, which was exciting, since she has been on an eating strike recently. She ate some chicken, but was most excited by the dumplings Mommy got at Stew's. Emma wasn't interested in dinner, again.

Mommy is hoping the predicted snow doesn't occur, but is ready with lots of activities for Clara and Emma, in case the weather is awful.
