It is the first official real (read: more than a dusting) snow of the season. Clara and Emma enjoyed the day indoors. Mommy was excited to have Rachel and Sonya over in the morning for an impromptu playdate, before the snow. Everyone got a kick out of schools across the county being cancelled before even a flake fell. The snow started to fall around 10 ish and has not stopped since.
After lunch, Mommy needed something different for Clara and Emma and decided to talk to Grandma and Grandpa on the video phone through the computer. Everyone enjoyed it!
Daddy got home aroun 3 ish and was greeted by Clara and Emma. Before he started some shoveling, Daddy thought Clara and Emma would enjoy playing in the snow. Of course, to Grandma Frome's dismay, Mommy had not purchased a snowsuit yet or boots- and of course, these items would have been helpful. For kicks, Mommy tried on their 3-6 month snowsuits, but was pleased that even though the arms and upper body fit, that they were actually too long to fit in them! So, Mommy got some extra sweatpants and put them over the pjs (which Mommy never changed them out of). Mommy put on their warm jackets, hats, mittens, socks and shoes. Clara and Emma enjoyed being outside and while at first, weren't quite sure what to make of it, liked playing with the snow. Clara tried walking around in it and Emma helped knocking the snow off the car.
