They Say The Darndest Things

It was a good night at the Gornstein house as there were no night awakenings- and Emma, after 5 days, finally pooped. Figuring out what is the root cause has been challenging and is still unanswered, but lies somewhere between a dairy intolerance and GI issues + regular almost 3 year old behavior.

Off to camp the ladies went and enjoyed making bracelets and soccer.

Emma wanted to read "The Paper Bag Princess." She said "Clara doesn't like the dragon. It scares her," and read the book to herself. "Once upon a time, there was a princess, with a paper bag and messed up hair," as she looked at the picture on the first page. She turned the page and kept missing the rest of the book and said, "I can't read the pictures."

After their nap, Clara asked for pudding as a snack. She joined Mommy at the fridge and only saw the square ones- aka the soy ones. Clara said "Mommy, I don't like square, I want circle ones. They better. Emma eat square ones." No idea how if she means that she likes the shape or taste better, but still, interesting.

Tonight, Mommy suggested a bubble bath. Clara said "no Mommy, it hurt Emma." So sweet and observant. A few minutes later, when Mommy asked Emma the same question, Emma said "did the dr. say it was okay for me? Can't believe she remembered.
