The "Keen"

This morning, everyone was well-rested due to no middle of the night wake ups.Clara put on her bead necklace and told Mommy and Daddy that she was "going to bring it to camp to show everyone."  Daddy shared that wasn't a good idea since she'd probably lose it. Clara's response "No,no, no, no. Mommy said it is okay. Okay, Mommy?" She's got a way of not only saying "no" these days, but also playing sides- how she has figured this out at nearly 3, one will never know!

After Daddy headed to work, Mommy got the kids ready for camp. Mommy put the ladies in the rainbow colored bikinis that Auntie Alyssa got the kids. Clara said "I love my keen." Mommy coached her and tried to teach her the word bikini, but she kept saying "keen." She also shared that "My body isn't covered in the keen," pointing to her belly.

Mommy must note that one of the sweetest moments is coming to camp to pick up the kids and watching them find you as you walk in, leap to their feet and come running for hugs- yum!

In the car on the way home, Mommy said "We're almost home sweet peas." Emma responded "We're not peas. We're not vegetables. We're little girls." She doesn't miss a thing!

This afternoon, the ladies headed to Chase Park in Scarsdale for a concert- it was awesome. Our neighbor Maya with her daughter Kayla and friend Hilary and her son Jack joined for some fun dancing. Clara loved being a groupie! Afterwards, the Gornstein girls joined Maya and Kayla and Kayla's Daddy, Dori, for some sorbet.

Tonight, Clara and Emma belted out "The JCC is #1" from their bedroom. Mommy and Daddy looked at each other and giggled that they must have learned a cheer at camp.
