Alfahores

Those of you not from South America or familiar with its food may have no clue what the title of this blog is about.

Its been a fairly rough week in terms of the afternoons. The kids are at camp about and hour longer than school and come home exhausted. While Mommy gives them snack in the car on the way home, they are ready for a nap when they walk in the door. Clara was so tired she would have been happy taking a nap in her pull up. She ended up napping in Mommy and Daddy's bed by herself because she was just screaming and making Emma upset. Emma woke up early from her nap crying that Clara wasn't there. It takes them a long time to wake up and be in happy moods.

They spent some time outside decorating the swings, swingset, picnic table and basically anything they could find with wet chalk. This is their new favorite activity, led by Clara, Emma happily joins in.

For snack, they didn't like any of the options and walked by the pantry and took out Mommy's "diet" alfahores- rice cakes covered in chocolate with dulce de leche in the middle. These are Mommy's favorite find from the trip in November and it is funny because a friend of Mommy's from high school, Lisa, also favors there.

Well, huge hit. They gobbled up two of them and asked for more! Wait till they taste the real ones again....
