This morning, Mommy took a cranky Clara and Emma to Rye to visit the nature center by the beach. On the short walk to the rocky beach, Clara and Emma saw a bunny rabbit. They loved sitting at the beach, but it was so rocky, they couldn't make sand castles and wanted to go somewhere else, but after Mommy finally got them in the car, it was time to take a crying Emma and Clara home.
This afternoon, Mommy took the ladies to Main Street Sweets in Tarrytown for ice cream- Mommy gave in to their request to get ice cream cones (like Grandma Frome had last week as they told Mommy) and probably should have ordered them hard ice cream, not soft, as it melted so quickly. Clara polished hers off- Emma didn't even come close, but loved every bite. Everyone headed to some the festivities at the Tarrytown 3rd Friday event, where TRPG sponsored the face painting. Clara and Emma enjoyed the crafts table and made little flowers from tracing their hands on construction paper and then using a straw as the stem. They were first in line to see Heather Huston, the amazing face painter and got their arms painted with flowers. It was a fun late afternoon activity running around with some friends that came to!
