Today, Clara and Emma had a very busy day. Mommy came home from the gym to find that the Diapers.com box was emptied and Clara and Emma were hiding in it. Later, Daddy drew a steering wheel and a seat and they pretended to drive it.
Clara and Emma went to Ashley's 3rd birthday at Central Park Dance. It was a lovely party. Emma participated eagerly in everything- Clara clung to Mommy for the first half, but then warmed up and had a blast. It was adorable how the little girls got dressed up in tiaras, tutus and carried magic wands and the little boys wore top hats and bow ties. They acted out the story of Cinderella too- Emma loved taking the scarf and cleaning the floor and of course, hearing about the fairy godmother.
This afternoon, the ladies went to their nursery school picnic at Ridge Road park. They had a blast in the sand (aka volleyball pit) and on the playground equipment. They loved the music show and of course, the watermelon. And, they were thrilled to introduce their Daddy to their teacher Laurie and loved seeing their principal Jackie.
Clara had a great moment of pure joy. She came to say hi to her teacher, Laurie, and said "Look, the playground." All of this with such excitement and amazement and then went running off to play.
