I look just like Snow White. Oh, I need to put my collar up. Mommy, all my friends are wearing lipstick. I need to wear lipstick and your makeup and be like you.
Before heading out, Mommy intended to go to the bathroom. When Mommy tried to go the one in her bedroom, the door was closed and in fact locked. See, Clara and Emma LOVE shutting doors and playing with them. Mommy is terrified that they're going to get their fingers stuck and tries to stop them. Well, Mommy can't open the door and Daddy is still away. When Mommy asked about it, Clara and Emma said "we're sorry." Emma followed up with, "it was an accident. sometimes accidents happen. it's okay, Mommy."
Emma insisted on keeping her Snow White top on and Clara wanted to wear her purple tutu and tiara, backwards. Mommy got a giggle when she picked them up at school and they were still wearing all of their dress up stuff! And, Clara and Emma have been talking about Mother's Day all week. Between school and Dora saying "Happy Mother's Day Mommy" on tv, they've got it because they continue to say at random times, "Happy Mother's Day Mama." Emma told Mommy that they made presents in school and that it was a jewelry box. Mommy didn't know if that in fact was the case, but when Mommy got to school, the kids gave Mommy their gifts and that is in fact what they are. Mommy will wait until Sunday to open them.
They also seem to love singing two songs, a song about watermelon that has a line about spitting out the pits that they love and "David Melech," which Mommy thinks is really funny.
For the past week, what Mommy was hoping would pass, has remained part of their naptime routine. They both insist on wearing pajamas for their nap. So off go their clothes, on goes the pull up and pajamas. And, of course, after their nap it means a full change too!
This afternoon, it was off to A Maze In Pottery in Briarcliff for a TRPG event. The gals painted great pieces for Mother's Day... Grandma Frome and Grandma Gornstein... stay tuned!!
Tonight, Mommy kept at it and finally unlocked the door. Phew!
