Clara and Emma headed to school this morning. Mommy got to go to their class and read a few books because Clara and Emma have a summer birthday and in the 2's, this is the only opportunity for parents to come. So, Mommy joined Clara and Emma and their friends and read three books that the ladies picked. Clara picked "Mouse That Paints," and Emma chose "The Little Cloud," - she called it the cloudy book. Together, they picked "Green Eggs and Ham."
Here is a note from their teachers about what they've been up to recently.
"Hi Parents.
We can't believe we're coming to the end of the school year! Our twos have grown so much since they first started school in September. We look back at the photos from our home visits and are amazed at the change. We love watching the children seeking each other out, interacting, and truly enjoying each other's company. They are becoming more and more independent and are so proud when they can do things by themselves that they couldn't do just a few short months ago!
We have enjoyed getting to use some of our more advanced materials with the classes, such as the geoboards, matching games, different puzzles, and scissors. They've become quite talented at stringing beads, drawing with markers, climbing, jumping, and having long conversations!
We also enjoy hearing their little voices singing along with us at circle time and when we chant our blessings. They know all the words to most of our songs by now.
At the moment we're working on a special gift for the Dads (since they deserve it too)!
We visited the Threes' classroom to see their ladybugs as well as to become familiar with the room they will be going to next. We looked around at their room and noticed some things that were the same as our room and some things that were different. We saw toys and activities that looked like a lot of fun!
Laurie and Helene"
