Clara and Emma's First Music/Jewelry Box

Last night was yet another night where Daddy went to check on the kids and found Emma with no pajamas on, sleeping in her pull up. Emma seems to enjoy taking off her pjs at some point while she is going to sleep. Mommy has a theory it is only the zip/feet ones.

Clara and Emma enjoyed breakfast, followed by the usual dress up. Emma insisted on wearing her dress to Costco... why not? They were both pretty good on their visit, but mostly because the peanut butter pretzels that were available for tasting were given to them several times on account of cuteness.

This afternoon, Mommy gave them the jewelry music boxes with the Disney princesses on them that Tio Angel gave them in Argentina. Their faces as they opened them and watched Cinderella twirl around to music were some of the cutest. They couldn't wait to make the music turn on again and watched her go around and around. Mommy waited until now because they know the princesses and are all about them.

This afternoon, the gang headed over to Wayside Lane park in Scarsdale for a TRPG Playground Crawl. Mommy wasn't sure whether she should cancel it earlier because it was drizzling, but it cleared up and was a nice afternoon and a great turnout. Clara and Emma love the park (and Mommy does too because it is fenced in). They played mostly in the sand, which of course meant a bath (even though Mommy was hoping to wait until tomorrow). In the bath, while they played "baby" where one tries to put a blanket on the other, Emma said "do me a favor and turn around that way." Grandma Frome overheard this, so Mommy isn't making this one up.

It is really funny how much they remember. In the car, Mommy noticed new sand toys and said something about them. Clara responded "Grandma got them for me. And new play doh." At the park, Emma and Clara were walking with their friend Ashley to the car (it is always better to leave with friends to avoid meltdowns) and Ashley's cake from her party yesterday came up. Emma said "I liked the cake, but I didn't get a princess like Ashley."
