Mommy went to the city in the late afternoon to run some errands. Mommy got to see an old work friend, Andrea and her two kids. And, for dinner, Mommy went to the new place MXCO on the Upper East Side with some city Mommy friends. It was a fun nite. While Mommy was out, Daddy took Clara and Emma to Stew's- which they both told Mommy about today.
Today, it was off to Great Neck to see Auntie Alyssa's new apartment and wish her a very happy birthday. Emma and Clara said hello to one of Auntie's cats, but then the cat growled and scared Emma. Of course, the cat was probably scared too and went to hid in the closet- where Clara and Emma went to visit him. After a short walk in the village, the gang ended up a local pizza place for lunch. And, Daddy picked up some cupcakes from Bruce's and some candles too so that Clara and Emma could sing their favorite song! Happy Birthday Auntie Alysssa.
Clara and Emma didn't sleep on the drive home even though it was at the start of their naptime (12:30) as Mommy read some Elmo books and worked hard to keep them up. They took a nap and then headed over to Dave and Michelle's house to play with their son Jack. Daddy enjoyed the JETS game- despite the result and Clara and Emma had fun with Jack. Daddy was proud that the kids both could chant J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS and even tolerated football on tv.
