On Wednesday, Clara wasn't too fond of having to be in speech while Emma was watching tv and acted out until it became untenable. However, the gals are grateful for the gift of little mismatched socks from Roberta- super cute and totally appropriate, since Mommy always seems to misplace the matching sock. The washer and dryer eat them. Really, they do.
Then, it was off to Emma's GI appointment to try and solve her tummy problems. Clara and Emma made quite a scene- hugging and yelling and banging on the chair like a drum. Even snack didn't quiet them too long. The office was not unhappy to see the Gornstein gals leave. The doctor just changed the otc medication Emma is taking and he hopes that it will help Emma be more comfortable. Mommy's goal is to solve this before potty training really begins in a few months.
After a nap, it was a short drive over to Matthew Allen's house for his 2nd birthday party. Clara and Emma loved playing with his piano and performing a duet. The ladies loved seeing the old Friday gang and thought the cupcakes were delightful! Clara made sure to tell everyone as she kept yelling "cake, cake." Ride ons, puzzles and the kitchen were also big hits. It is really cool to see all of these kids that Clara and Emma met right after moving here at 2 and older. It reminds one how many changes there really are and how fast they come in the first few years.
