Clara and Emma (and Mommy and Daddy) slept through the nite! Mommy was very pleased that the ladies slept until 8, when Mommy decided to go in and say good morning. After some oatmeal enjoyed in their highchairs, which still grace our kitchen, it was a little Elmo before leaving for school. Clara has a scratchy voice, but her nose isn't running and she seems fine, so Mommy decided to send her to school.
Clara and Emma were very excited to go to school and kept saying "see Laurie and Helene," their teachers. The ladies brought little gifts for their classmates- spanish word books and picture frames for their teachers. Mommy got to join them after school for a few minutes for some ice cream for Eitan's 3rd birthday. Of course, the ladies loved singing their favorite song!
They were very tired and took an almost 3 hour nap. Emma had a tough time settling down, but once she did was fine. She did wake up with quite a poop- only noted here because it was all over the crib. And, because she has had such a hard time recently, Mommy can't understand how she has gone from "pebbles" to this overnight!
Mommy went to her first parent/teacher conference tonight and heard about Clara and Emma at school. Mommy heard about how nicely the ladies play both together and separately and that they interact nicely with others in the class. Mommy learned that Clara LOVES the scooter during indoor play on days it is too cold to go outside, riding the rocking horse and anything dress up. Emma loves pretend play- especially the doll house, loves the babies and their bottles too. Both love art and circle time too. The good news- well, they love school and are thriving. And, their acting out doesn't occur at school. It is really nice to hear such wonderful things about your kids!
