Thursday School Fun

Clara and Emma enjoyed a Thursday at school. They even got to play outside. Here is a note from their teachers and some photos. And, yes, that coat note is for Mommy- three kids all had the same Gap pink jackets. Clara and Emma are still wearing their jacket from last winter that is sized 12-18 months. Mommy did buy new ones for them, but hasn't broken them out yet.

"Dear Parents,

We've loved getting to sit down and chat with each of you about your terrific twos! Please let us know if there's anything which wasn't covered in the conference that you'd like to talk about. It's helpful for us to hear about your child at home as well as to get your feedback.

Both classes have been working on Hanukkah art projects, reading books about Hanukkah, singing Hanukkah songs, lighting our menorah, chanting the blessings, and spinning dreidels. Hanukkah is a fun and busy time for us at school! Soon the dreidels we made will be hanging up on the school bulletin board for all to admire. We're also making Hanukkah collages with glue and Hanukkah pictures cut out of greeting cards and wrapping paper. We'll also be doing several other Hanukkah projects.

Our favorite Hanukkah songs are: How many Candles,Maccabee March, Mama's Little Baby, and I'm a Little Latka. They're all a lot of fun to sing with the children. You can look in the GHC songbook for the words.

Your Twos' team,

Laurie and Helene

P.S. Please label jackets and other outerwear and make sure your child's change-of-clothes keeps up with the changing seasons!"

In the afternoon, Clara and Emma took a drive with Mommy to drop off the gift bag items for Mommy's TRPG Holidaze Extravaganza event. It was a great nite! Here are some pics.
