Greenburgh Nature Center Train Show

This morning, for the weekly Monday morning excursion, Mommy took the gals to the Greenburgh Nature Center. Clara and Emma enjoyed the little train show and were fascinated as the train kept coming back. They also like playing with the handful of trains on the train table set up for the kids. Then, it was upstairs to meet a turtle, snake and chinchilla. Both Clara and Emma touched each animal and were very excited about it. It is a nice day, so Mommy did take the ladies for a walk outside to see the sheep, turkeys, owls and bald eagles, before heading home.

In the afternoon, Mommy wasn't feeling well, but Clara and Emma had enough energy to entertain. They loved playing with their new "treasures," ie dress up and tried their dresses, hats, glasses etc on. And, while doing that, Clara played her new guitar and jammed. She seems to have the movements down for playing - both hand motions and shaking her body. It really is too much!

Clara also made sure to tell Mommy that it was time for "candles." The ladies love Hanukkah and try and say the blessings with Mommy (read: money well spent for nursery school). They also sing songs like "Mama's little latke."
