The Family Hanukkah Party 2009

On Saturday, the Gornstein gang hosted the Gornstein/Goldstein Family Hanukkah Party 2009.

Clara and Emma were thrilled to put their tutus on and dance to their song, "Tiny Dancer." The tutus remained on the entire party.

Clara and Emma enjoyed a bite of a latke (made by Tia Suzy). They loved the applesauce too.

With Ariella and Mommy, Clara and Emma and their cousins, Matt, Andrew, and Kayla (Michael is still too young) and Ariella's friend's kid, Netta, made candy dreidels (thin pretzel, marshmallow, and hershey kiss held together with fluff) and candy menorahs (graham crackers, fluff, mini marshmallows and pretzels). Clara and Emma both ate the dreidels like lollipops and enjoyed their menorahs too. It was a sticky and fun activity.

Mommy turned to Grandma Gornstein and said "they are going to freak out" when they see the guitar that they were about to open. Emma heard Mommy and said "I'm freaking out." Clara and Emma also got spanish speaking twin dolls. They also got a cleaning cart- with a broom, duster, vacuum cleaner etc. and enjoyed walking around the house cleaning. They also got a dress up box - which they call "treasures" since it looks like a treasure chest. Everyone was very generous. Thank you!

Clara and Emma wouldn't be seen without their guitar or piano for the rest of the party. Gornstein Rock Band is booking appearances. Tutus required. Call Mommy or Daddy now to request dates.

Clara and Emma enjoyed dinner of chicken nuggets and ketchup with their cousins- they all gobbled them up. And, dessert was a huge hit as well- especially the dulce de leche ice cream that Grandma brought and the dulce de leche cake with a brownie bottom that Aunt Sara made. Yum!

All the kids got gelt and a dreidel at the end of the party. The dreidels were a huge hit and Clara and Emma kept spinning them.

They enjoyed staying up past their bedtime!
